MEET OUR PASTOR

Cory M. Murphy, Ph.D., is a native of Canton, Mississippi. A community servant and educator, Dr. Murphy has always shared the message of the gift of salvation and the love of Christ Jesus with those he encounters. Blessed with the spiritual gift of exhortation, he has ministered to and empowered countless friends and strangers across the nation through the anointing of the Holy Spirit. He was licensed to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in June 2012 and ordained to serve in the office of Pastor in January 2015.

Dr. Murphy is Founder and Pastor of Faith Christian Church and currently serves as Associate State Superintendent of Education for the Office of Teaching and Leading at the Mississippi Department of Education.

Dr. Murphy is a graduate of Canton High School who has earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Mississippi Valley State University, Master of Arts in Education degree from Central Michigan University, Specialist in Education degree and Doctor of Philosophy degree in Educational Leadership from Jackson State University.

Dr. Murphy believes that “Every individual can be reached if you, Christ’s Ambassador, are not afraid to touch.”
